Why I make indie games

So I put 'A Virus Named TOM' up for pre-order (beta version) and I got an email from a customer that they were having trouble getting the game to run on their computer. After explaining the problem, they ended with:

"If there no solution exept by a new computer, forget and keep the money for creation."

Now I'm pretty sure I know what the problem is (basically we were planning on making the build more friendly to older machines but didn't get around to it), but how awesome is it that they still wanted to help us fund the game, even if we couldn't get it working for them.

This is why I make indie games. For the people out there like Fabrice. There's an awesome community out there that supports us, and I want to make kick ass games that they love to play. Thanks for making my day Fabrice, we'll get you up and infecting soon!

  1. Game looks great...I'd like to infect, too! Except for one thing: is a single player game available too? Thanks-

    1. YES! The game will have 54 single player levels (24 currently in the beta) :) We're also going to make it easier to play multiplayer by having 2 player on 1 keyboard. Ridiculous yet awesome ;)

  3. Hey there. Pre-ordered and gave my friend my extra copy. Really good stuff!

I was just curious if the PC version would online co-op. Thanks!

    1. The initial version wont have online multiplayer :( We tried but we're running out of money. We hope to offer that up as a (possibly) free upgrade after the game is out and we can get some money in. Maybe we'll kickstart it!

In the meantime we do plan on integrate online leaderboards & achievements.
